Birthday Bonanza…

I have been busy making a card for Russ’s teenage niece, who is understandably quite upset that her party has been cancelled and she can’t see her friends. I hope that she still manages to have a nice day and can look forward to a party in the future. For now, I hope to bring her a little cheer with these incredibly cute animals from the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper. I haven’t used the stamp set for this card, just the Designer Series Paper (£10.75) so I fussy cut each of the animals out. You get some lovely background […]

Easter Peekaboo…

Hello and welcome again to my blog, I hope you will find information and inspiration here so please, sit back and enjoy the read! I have used the Welcome Easter stamp set (£19) from Stampin’ Up! this week, as I just really enjoy all these little animals. I couldn’t decide which one to use so I have used them all! I shared a little technique in my newsletter yesterday, the tone on tone stamping that I have used here, so if you don’t already, please sign up to my newsletters to get even more tutorials, tips and tricks. The sign […]

Daisy Lane…

Mother’s Day is fast approaching (22nd March) so I thought I would make a Mother’s Day card to go along with the wreath that I made in my last post. Haven’t seen it? Make sure you scroll back after reading this to take a look. I sadly lost my Mum to Motor Neurone Disease in 2015 and have found it really difficult to see or promote these cards the last few years, but things do get easier with time, as they say. I will always miss her though and it makes me sad that she will never see the person […]

Spring Wreath…

I know it doesn’t yet feel like spring has sprung but I wanted to make something bright and cheerful so that when the sun is hiding I can look at this and remind myself that brighter days are just around the corner. I have not used any stamps for this project, just two punches are all that you need to make this gorgeous piece of home decor. I have used the medium daisy punch and the leaf punch (both £15), punching out 36 daisies from Whisper White card and about 30 leaves from Pear Pizzazz card. To get colour onto […]

Life is better with a friend like you…

Thanks to Stampin’ Up! I have a whole lot of friends to send cards to and this sentiment is just perfect for when you want to say hello to people. A ‘just because’ card, I call it. I have used the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper here because I just love those floral patterns. This card uses a piece measuring 14.5cm x 5cm, so you can get 3 pieces out of one sheet of the paper. Just look at all these designs you can choose from. You get 48 sheets in a pack too, so plenty of card making for […]

Rest and Relax…

I love making covered notebooks! So often I hear people say that they are sometimes reluctant to give their cards away because they are proud of what they have made. I am totally in this camp and am slowly but surely getting better at giving them away but often just want to keep them and look at them. If this is you, how about making a covered notebook, that way you get to continually look at what you have made, every time you need to write something down. The measurements will depend entirely on the size of your notebook, but […]

Beautiful Bouquet…

I absolutely adore this co-ordinating stamp and die set. It was one of the very first that I bought and has been used time and time again. It is a photopolymer stamp set (£25) which means lining up those flowers and stems is super easy and just look at how many stamps you get, with a sentiment for all occasions this will soon become a go-to set for you I am sure. The co-ordinating Bouquet Bunch dies (£28) mean you can really step up your cards, with stems, bows, tag, foliage and much more. You can certainly make some beautiful […]

The Power of Hope…

Wow, when I saw this set I just knew it was one I needed to have. The stone embossing folder is like something I have never seen before and works just perfectly with the gorgeous images in the stamp set. This little bundle is FREE during Sale-a-bration with a £90 spend because you get both the folder and the stamps together. I thought that the Japanese inspired set would lend itself really well to making a little scene, with the women waling up to the temple. In order to make it appear that there are a few of the ladies […]
