Irresistible Blooms from Stampin’ Up!…

As soon as I was able to I just had to order this beautiful upcoming collection of Irresistible Blooms products from Stampin’ Up! The gorgeous flower stamps, co-ordinating dies, papers, sentiments and embellishments are just fabulous, but I must say that as soon as I sat down to create, all the ideas just vanished from my head! Don’t you hate it when that happens? So, I turned to the good old trusty Global Design Project (#GDP380) for some inspiration – this week’s challenge was CASE the designer, Janneke De Jong, with her wonderful subtle Christmas card, which you can see […]

Regency Park Suite – Artisan Design Team Monthly Post Jan’ 2023…

Hello, and welcome, I am so excited to share these projects that I made with the Regency Park Suite, as this was my first post as for the Artisan Design Team this year! I must say, these really aren’t my go to colours, so I was definitely out of my comfort zone working here, but sometimes it is good to push ourselves though, don’t you think? The Regency Park suite is actually what I call a Mega Suite, as it has two stamp sets, a punch, dies, papers, speciality papers, ribbon and embellishments. You really have a lot to play […]

Adorable Owls meets Ink Blending…

I knew I wanted to play with the new Adorable Owls stamp set from Stampin’ Up! during my weekly YouTube live video, but was in a bit of a creative slump last week, so off I went to Pinterest in search of some ideas – it really is a fabulous resource for cardmakers, especially with your Stampin’ Up! supplies, because there are just so many ideas out there for our stamp sets. All you do is type in the name and away you go! I was totally inspired by a card that was actually made by a friend of mine, […]

Country Floral Lane Suite from Stampin’ Up!…

Now, I wasn’t going to get the Country Floral Lane Suite from the new Stampin’ Up! Jan – Apr Mini Catalogue but boy am I glad that I did. I absolutely love the colours, the papers, the stamps and the punch, and I can see loads of uses for this one, not just Valentine’s day. As soon as I had a play, I was away making lots of samples, I just fell in love with it. The Country Floral Lane Suite colours are Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet, Mossy Meadow, Mint Macaron and Balmy Blue, thought I opted to stick with […]

How to Make a Pull Tab Card – Creativity Abounds Blog Hop Jan ’23…

So, I may have gone a little rogue today, as the theme for this month’s hop is actually ‘fancy fold’ cards, but I had an idea in my head that wouldn’t go away, so I decided to share how to make a pull tab card instead. It’s kind of like a fancy-fold, right? The Creativity Abounds Blog Hop Team are a team of global demonstrators who come together twice a month to share the very best of Stampin’ Up! with you all, once to create tutorials and once to share our inspiration in blog hops like this one. I must […]

Two-tone flora stamp set from Stampin’ Up!…

I fell in love with the new two-tone flora stamp set from Stampin’ Up! as soon as I saw it, and putting ink to stamp I certainly wasn’t disappointed with it! I absolutely love how easy the images are to line up, and the effect that you get with the main body and the detail stamp combined. My biggest tip with this stamp set is to stamp the darker colour first, which will probably be the detailed stamp. Then you can overlay the lighter image on top – I just find it much easier to line up this way. To […]

How to colour daffodils with Stampin’ Blends…

It’s been so dull and dreary here in the UK recently, yet my spring bulbs are starting to poke their way through the ground, which inspired me to have a play last night on my YouTube live, showing how to colour daffodils with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers – such soft and subtle colours reminding us all of brighter days ahead. I love using my Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers for colouring in, because I find them quick and easy to use, and the results that I get with them are just beautiful – images look clean and crisp, just like they […]

Handmade Valentine’s Day Card – Tech4 Stampers Blog Hop Jan ’23…

The theme for this month’s Tech 4 Stampers blog hop is LOVE, and I wanted to make show you how to make a handmade Valentine’s Day card, one that could easily be replicated in any colour you wanted really. I actually already gave this card to my other half, not as a Valentine’s Day card but just as a ‘I appreciate you and everything that you do’ card. I chose to make my handmade Valentine’s Day card in just red and white, keeping it really simple and in line with what we might expect from a traditional Valentine’s Day card. […]

How to colour flowers quickly with watercolour…

Last week on my YouTube live I played with the new Fragrant Flowers stamp set, colouring it in with my alcohol markers, but this week I wanted to demonstrate how to colour flowers quickly with watercolour, as we don’t always have the time to spend colouring so neatly. I hope this video and blog post will show you that you can achieve great effects really quickly! To learn more about watercolouring, and all the techniques and tips that I have, why not think about joining my watercolour cardmaking course. You can find all of the details and the link to […]
